Jews, what made Jesus Christ a false Messiah?

What Jewish scripture did he contradict?Jews, what made Jesus Christ a false Messiah?
***Jews, what made Jesus Christ a false Messiah?***

The first Holocaust did not occur in Germany but in Rome. The main difference between the two Holocaust was:

The one in Rome was about faith in the Messiah.

The one in Germany was about lineage.

If one wanted to take a trip over the big pond and see the skulls of those who died for their faith, they are certainly able...just like you can go to the camps and look at those who died because of their lineage. Both have evidence of brutal deaths.

Rome has records of believers being tarred and burned alive for Nero in addition to the well documented entertainment that the deaths of believers provided for their executioners. Only those who want to believe in fiction could say this unique time in history was fabricated.

Unique because God raised Jesus less than 40 years before. There were people still alive in Jerusalem who lived at the time Jesus lived. All that was needed to bring those people who found Jesus' body or the High Priests to say that Jesus never lived.

But this never occurred because of those who testified in the arena of public opinion. It was in the arena that those in the stands witnessed the peace of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the fulfillment of Joel 2 and the conviction of those believing Jesus is the Messiah.

Those who continue to believe that their is no proof that Jesus is the Messiah really need to imagine people staring at the hungry lions looking at them as food. And in the stands were the people in the arena who paid money to watch them die only because they believed Jesus was the Messiah.

Common sense would say that people would not volunteer to be the representative of losing side of a reenactment of a battle fought against Rome. Nor would they willing sign up their family to have Roman citizens watch what it is like to be eaten by hungry lions.

There are studies that were done on those that faced death unless they told the truth. Dying for a lie is not done and about half will tell a lie rather than die for truth.

Therefore, those that die in the first Holocaust died because they had something in their life that they valued so much that it was worth dying for....that was their faith in Jesus because all they had to do was deny Jesus to live.

It is the Holy Spirit that convicts the world of guilt in regards to sins and who guides us to all that is true. It is He who illumines the scriptures for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Therefore, Jesus is the Messiah...not a false one.

Hope this helps

EDIT:

Ruth says: ***the '300' Christians believe in - those are back engineered into the OT - the OT is NOT part of Judaism.***

Ruth, the original manuscripts are shared. To say the OT is not part of Judaism is to say that the original manuscripts of the Torah and Tanach are not part of Judaism. While you certainly have the right to maintain this belief, you will find other Jews that don't share this belief.

EDIT 2

What Kathy fails to mention is how another Messiah will be able to prove their lineage to David as all the records that were available in Jesus' day have been destroyed.

Likewise, the ability to provide priests in the line of Aaron today will not meet Ezra 2 guidelines. One of the reasons is that we don't have a sample of Aaron's DNA to say we have a match of DNA. So even if a Temple was built, the priesthood of Aaron is gone. Therefore, if the same measure was used to judge any future messiahs as is currently being measured on Jesus, Jesus would beat the others hands down. The one sitting in judgment of Jesus simply has to be fair and honest.Jews, what made Jesus Christ a false Messiah?
FINALLY, the TRUE best answer wins!

This question was asked of JEWS and an answer that demonizes the Jewish people and Judaism was ';voted'; best? Next, we have someone who has repeatedly claimed in Y/A that the Holocaust was justified because Jews do not worship Jesus claim it's true. Hmm. Rather telling.

There were several correct answers that detailed from the Torah the resons Jesus was not a Messiah. Please refer to those if you sincerely want an honest answer. Slightly amused, toto, angels,

Hatikvah, Yah man, plushy,Ruth, myself, canute, Kathy, paperback and Karl answered the question as asked.

The asker obviously knew the New Testament doctrine calling Jesus a messiah. This question asked why Judaism does not recognize Jesus as a messiah. ALL answers giving NT ( Christian doctrine) are IRRELEVANT to the question. DS M also gives willful misinformation regarding the priesthood and Ezra.

Mama, if you follow the Biblical example, there are only two choices: Jew or pagan. An answer that glorifies can only demoralize pagans / Gentiles. I have a right to exist as my scriptures say as you have the right not to believe.

Mama: ';the Holocaust was justified because Jews do not worship Jesus claim it's true.'; This has never been something I have said. Mama will need to actually source that one or be guilty of slander which violates Community Guidelines.

Should Mama actual read Ezra, she would discover that many applied to be priests after the destruction of the Temple. Only those that could prove their lineage could be priests. Again, Mama needs to prove 100% the lineage of any Jew to 70 AD...since she can't, my statements stands.

DS M, it is you who is in violation of community guidelines once again by insulting another user with false accusation immediately above. My writing is clear who I was referring to and many dozens of users saw the user I refer to. If I post a link to her answer your multiple account crew

is once again employed by DS M to deflect from the actual question and answer here. This question was asked of Jews to explain why Jesus did not qualify as a messiah. None of this misinformation about Judaism and Tanakh and false personal accusation by DS M does that. The family tree's of

the tribe of Judah were not lost the destruction of EITHER Temple. Reading chapter 2 will show those DS M tries to fool that such a claim by the Christian missionary is moot. There is even a contact of mine here in Y/A whose family ancestry goes back in unbroken line to King David.

It is a false and sidetracking claim to say that the family records of all Jews or of the priesthood were kept in the Temple. The Kohenim have kept their own geneaologies as well. For the several hundred years between Temples, those family histories were not lost because families kept them!

Remember this question asked why Jesus did not meet the criteria. The claim of DS M also even negates Jesus since the NT gives conflicting family records, both of them listed negate Jesus for qualifying alone. We don't even have to take into account his failure to do any of the jobs prophecied.

Lastly, DS M..who is claiming you do not have a right to exist? No one. All that the Jewish users and others are doing is asking that you stop claiming in falsehood that the New Testament dogma is Judaism and stop taking portions of our answers out of context to try to turn their meaning backwards

';Mama, if you follow the Biblical example, there are only two choices: Jew or pagan';

Judaism is worship of an incorporeal God who is ONE and as Torah states, does not become a man. Those who want to hijack Jewish identity are now claiming it is JEWS who are pagan for worship of God alone?

I'm done with this ...I've sufficiently explained with enough supporting evidence to show why this BA ';voted'; is not an answer to the question at all, but insulting proselytizing attempt to hijack Jewish identity. Judaism isn't going to change, it's eternal, after all. Shalom.

DSM--your ';logic'; is astonishingly flawed. Here is what your ';reasoning'; comes down to: If someone will die for what they believe in then what they believe in is actually true. Such a faulty logical inference is to be expected from a 2nd grader. Flawed logic = flawed hypthesis.

The prophesies foretold the Messiah (';Machiah'; in Hebrew) as fulfilling certain criteria ..

One, he would be descended from the house of David. Jesus was not. He would also be a man, as in: a human. Jesus claimed to be ';Christ';, a Hebrew word meaning ';anointed';. In other words, Christ claimed to be a supernatural being.

Two, he would unite all of the Jewish people in Israel. Jesus did not do this.

Three, he would usher in world peace. Jesus did not do this, either (and then some!).

Four, his coming would ';lead to a spiritual regeneration and bring about a state of moral and religious perfection';. Need I point out that this did not happen?

And so on.

If you believe in the Bible (and Christians claim to), the truth is undeniable: Jesus was no more the 'Messiah' than was David Koresh.
The truth is that Jesus did not fulfill all of the Prophecies and also expanded the on the understanding of God and his nature. The Jews were expecting ALL of the prophecies to be fulfilled and were not expecting the Messiah to be God. Contrary to the usual comments many of the Prophecies were fulfilled and many more that modern Jews ignore. Jews have stopped posting the list because they finally realized that when Christians see their list we see the bulk as being fulfilled or occurring presently. They will state that all should have occurred instantly or over the life time of one man. Many are of a supernatural nature but they deny anything supernatural about their past history.

Edit: Jesus spoke clearly about his divinity throughout the Gospels. One has to wonder why an individual would suggest that this was a later development since there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Edit 2: Thanks Plushy I am glad you are posting it. Disagreeing is not vilification. You are welcome to believe as you wish and worship as you wish. I have come to different conclusion than you. My conclusion is reasonable and intelligent as is yours.
We don't refer to Jesus as a 'false messiah', in fact. That sort of implies he fulfilled some but not all of our prophecies. Jesus didn't fulfill any of them, though. We have 23 prophecies and all must be fulfilled in ONE normal mortal lifetime. Jesus was killed by the Romans before fulfilling any of them.

The Jewish maschiach ushers in world peace.

Did Jesus do that before he died?

Answer: NO

Ergo, he is not our maschiach.

--------------------------------------…

**As** a JEW, I must counter the lies being told about my faith by 'suzanne' and 'dsm'.

There is no 'messianic' sect IN Judaism.

None.

The specific *Christian* Cult which calls itself ';messianic judaism'; is just that: Christian.

It was founded entirely by Christians.

It is funded entirely by Christians.

Members worship Jesus.

All members are devout Christians.

- It is **nothing** to do with Judaism.

Judaism is very different to Christianity. Nobody can declare themselves a 'jew' just because they want to follow Judaism. The only thing that determines Jewish identity is **Jewish** religious law.

So if you are not Jewish according to Jewish law - then you are NOT Jewish, period.

Messianics are most welcome to convert *to* Judaism, should they choose. Very welcome indeed. But of course, since no Jews worship Jesus, Messianics don't want to - which is fine.

But they can't then unilaterally decide that THEIR brand of **Christianity** is ';messianic judaism'; - it's no form of Judaism.
Grace's answer hits the nail directly on its head: unbelieving Jews felt (and still feel) that the prophesies must be fulfilled in a particular way; Messianic Jews and gentile converts to ';the Way'; (i.e. Christianity) see the prophesies in a different light. We believe that some prophesies were fulfilled outright, but many are ';in progress,'; awaiting final fulfillment during the Messianic Kingdom after Yeshua's return.

May I point out one thing, though? The Jewish understanding of Messianic prophesies has greatly changed over the years. For example, Jewish scholar Rashi, who lived in the 1100's, contradicted HUNDREDS of years of Rabbinic opinion when he wrote that Isaiah 53 does not pertain to the Messiah, but to the Jewish people as a whole. Today, we have ill informed Jews claiming that this is the ';ancient understanding'; of Isaiah 53 -- but it's all a lie!

Another example of mutable thinking regarding the prophesies: many claim that ';Jesus couldn't be the Messiah because He didn't rebuild the Temple'; as required by the prophesies. YET, Ultra Orthodox Jews teach that the Temple will descend from Heaven, already built! Additionally, there is a STRONG movement within Israel among very religious Jews to rebuild the Temple, with the thinking that this will trigger the advent of the Messiah. What do these things tell you? Again, it's all a lie -- there has NEVER been one opinion on this issue throughout the history of Judaism ... but today's Jews WANT YOU TO THINK THERE IS.

EDIT: ROFL @ Hatikva's answer: ';Btw, Christians themselves did not believe Jesus (their messiah) was divine until their writings (NT) were canonized in the 4th Century at the behest of Constantine and the creation of the Nicene creed.';

WRONG. The earliest manuscripts (which pre-date the Nicean Council by more than 200 years!) ALL indicate that these Christians were taught by the Apostles that Yeshua is God in the Flesh. Writers such as Clement of Rome (who was a disciple of Peter), Ignatius of Antioch (a disciple of John), and Polycarp (the favorite disciple of John) ALL wrote in unambiguous language that YESHUA IS GOD IN THE FLESH.

Hatikva, have YOU ever studied the history of Christianity?
Hi died without having completed his mission -- peace on earth for all mankind.

If you want Jewish answers to your question, don't ask on the Sabbath. Ask again tomorrow. Or are you making a point for Christians rather than asking Jews?

Btw, there was no consensus among Christians themselves that Jesus was divine until their writings (NT) were canonized in the 4th Century at the behest of Constantine and the creation of the Nicene creed.

.
answer: austy and Grace are in error. The reason Jews post the list of prophecies that Jesus didn't fulfill is because those are the prophecies of the Jewish Messiah. Not the '300' Christians believe in - those are back engineered into the OT - the OT is NOT part of Judaism.

There are other reasons Jesus was NOT the Jewish Messiah: divine birth/divinity - strike (the Jewish Messiah will be human – G-d cannot become human – Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:6, Hosea 11:9, Ezekiel 28:2, Numbers 23:19)

performing miracles - strike (JM won't perform miracles)

taking on the sins of others - strike (no one can take on the sins of others – Deuteronomy 24:16, Exodus 32:30-35, Ezekiel 18:1-4; 20-24; 26-27)

breaking Sabbath - strike (JM will be observant)

sacrificed/rising from the dead - strike (G-d rejects human sacrifice and blood sacrifice is NOT an absolute requirement – Deuteronomy 12:30-31, Jeremiah 19:4-6, Psalm 106:37-38, Ezekiel 16:20, Leviticus 5:11-13, Jonah 3:10, Leviticus 17, Leviticus 5:11-13, Numbers 16:47, Numbers 31:50, Isaiah 6:6-7, Jeremiah 7:22-23, Psalm 51:16-17)

prophecies unfilled - strike (JM will accomplish them in one life time)

being worshiped - strike and out - Jews worship G-d and only G-d

1. The Messiah is born of two human parents, as we said. But Jesus, according to Christian theology, was born of a union between a Human woman and God, rather than two HUMAN parents, as was Hercules, and Dionysis, as well as many other pagan gods.

2. The Messiah can trace his lineage through his human biological father, back to King David (Isaiah 11:1,10; Jeremiah 23:5; Ezekiel 34:23-24; 37:21-28; Jeremiah 30:7-10; 33:14-16; and Hosea 3:4-5). But Jesus's lineage cannot go through his human father, according to Christian theology, as Jesus's father was not Joseph the husband of Mary. According to Christian theology, Jesus's father was God.

3. The Messiah traces his lineage only through King Solomon (II Samuel 7:12-17; I Chronicles 22:9-10). But according to Luke 3:31, Jesus was a descendant of Nathan, another son of King David, and not a descendant of King David through King Solomon.

4. The Messiah cannot trace his lineage through Jehoiakim, Jeconiah, or Shealtiel, because this royal line was cursed (I Chronicles 3:15-17; Jeremiah 22:18,30). But according to both Matthew 1:11-12 and Luke 3:27, Jesus was a descendant of Shealtiel.
This question or the question Why do Jews not believe in Jesus? or

Why don't Jews accept Jesus? Or why do Jews ';reject'; Jesus as messiah? are asked almost daily in Yahoo, sometimes several times a day, and have been for the entire two years I've been here.

The ';list'; has also been posted almost daily.

Thousands of Jewish answers from Jews all over the world of every branch that all say the same things, thousands of times, yet we still also see people claim we can't or don't answer.

Two thousand years in the past or two thousand years in the future, two thousand more questions like this asked, the answer is going to remain the same. He did not fit the prophetic vision or job description of the Davidic Messiah of the Hebrew Bible.

He did not fulfill any prophecy.

He only met one tiny bit of criteria..he was born a Jew.

http://www.whatjewsbelieve.org/ given already, is a great way to begin to learn the core differences in the two religions. Christianity's view of Judaism is essentially foreign TO Judaism.

Here is another easy to use link to see quite clearly that Jesus didn't fit the job description.

http://www.messiahtruth.com/wanted.html

As par for the course in Yahoo Answers, when Jews answer with correct information about Judaism, and also provide reputable references to support the information, we get thumbs downs. Heck, NON Jews who give correct information about Judaism are also most often thumbed down, too.

And they say antisemitism isn't alive and festering....
The fact that he failed to fulfill a single actually messianic prophecy is what made Jesus of Nazareth a failed messiah.

First of all, we have to know what the ';Jewish prophecies'; are in regards to ';messianic prophecies';

These are:

1. Descendant of David - (Jeremiah 23:5) (there are more regarding this one), note, must also be a descendant of Solomon (1 Chronicles 22:9), but can not be a descendant of Jeconiah (Jeremiah 22:30 This is established only through the biological father (for line/tribe) Numbers 36 (Tribal lineage), Genesis 49:10, 1 Kings, 11:4, 1 Chronicles 17:11-19 (Kingship lineage), Exodus 28:4, 29:9-30, 30:30, and 40:15 (Priesthood lineage)

2. Preceded by Elijah - Malachi 3:23-24

3. World Peace - Isaiah 2:4, Ezekiel 39:9

4. Universal Knowledge of G-d - Isaiah 11:9, Jeremiah 31:33, Zechariah 8:23, 14:9, 14:16

5. Building of the Third Temple - Ezekiel 37:26-28 (See also Ezekiel 40-48, Isaiah 33:20)

6. Death Will Cease - Isaiah 25:8

7. Resurrection of the Dead - Isaiah 26:19, Daniel 12:2, Ezekiel 37:12-13

8. Ingathering of Israel - Isaiah 43:5-6 (See also Jeremiah 19:15, 23:3, Isaiah 11:12, Zechariah 10:6, Ezekiel 37:21-22)

9. The Nations Will Help the Jews Materially - Isaiah 60:5, 60:10-12, 61:6

10. Eternal Joy and Gladness Will Characterize the Jewish Nation - Isaiah 51:11

11. The Jews Will Be Sought For Spiritual Guidance - Zechariah 8:23

12. All Weapons Of War Will Be Destroyed - Ezekiel 39:9

13. The Enemy Dead Will Be Buried - Ezekiel 39:12

14. The Egyptian River Will Run Dry - Isaiah 11:15

15. Trees Will Yield New Fruit Monthly in Israel - Ezekiel 47:12

16. Each Tribe of Israel Will Receive It's Inheritance - Ezekiel 47:13-14

17. All Warfare Will Cease - Isaiah 2:4

Also, we know that the messiah will be an actual king, ruling in Israel, and sitting on the actual throne in Jerusalem. And that there will be no dispute as to whether or not this Jewish male is the messiah or not. (Jeremiah 23:5-6, and Isaiah 42:1-4)

To quote a friend, ';When we carefully consider that none of this has occurred, we can be assured that although many thousands of individuals have claimed to be the messiah throughout the centuries, Jesus included, none of them is. Moreover, when we ponder whether Jesus is the messiah, it is obvious that the very **opposite** occurred immediately after the Christian movement began; that is; During the first century the Romans slaughtered many thousands of Jews, the Jewish people were exiled from their land, the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, the knowledge of Torah and its observance decreased throughout the Roman Empire. Clearly, there is no relationship between what the Hebrew Scriptures say about the messiah and what Christianity teaches about Jesus.';

To sum this all up, Jesus didn't do the job, (nor was he qualified for the job in the first place), he wasn't the one.
Of the 23 Messianic prophecies, he fulfilled precisely one. He was Jewish.

Lineage is passed through the father, and he had none. Adoption doesn't count for these things and Joseph was from the wrong Davidic line anyway.

Is there world peace? Has there ever been? Is there a rebuilt Temple?

And so on.

In every other case, death is the accepted sign that someone wasn't. For some reason, Christians want us to make an exception for this one person.

The man-god thing just doesn't fly in Judaism. The Christians have that from the Greeks. To worship a man, or indefinable man-god combination, or multi-part god, is idolatry.
Ask God to show you the old paths (Jeremiah 6:16)--the old way of living and worshipping God. Look for the old ways--Father working, Mother cooking, cleaning and caring for the children. You will find rest for your soul and a whole new world will be opened to you. You will be changed at your root. We have almost lost our manhood and womanhood--our deceptions are great but the word of God will deliver us if carefully applied to our lives. God made man to rule the world. Man was destined for greatness. May the men reading this understand that they are the image and glory of God. Repent of your sins, hide the word of God in your heart and rise to who you were made to be. Get out of debt (including your house note) for the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7). Woman, clean your house and teach your children at home

There was a very difficult part of this in comprehending the claims of Jesus having some divinity. And I think the reason is if you look through biblical text you’ll see that there’s prohibitions against all sorts of things that represent hybrids. So you can’t muzzle an ox and a donkey together, you can’t throw different kinds of seeds in the same field, you can’t with your garment put two different kinds of threads in here, intermarriage was prohibited. So anything that was hybrid…all this was prohibited. If you think about it as a theological extension then Jesus would be the ultimate hybrid between human and God. And so, for Jews, we’re strict monotheists, there could not be that kind of crossing of that line of envisioning anything of the flesh having that kind of divinity associated with it. That’s where we are.

';It reportedly says Jews and Christians share their wait for the Messiah, although Jews are waiting for the first coming and Christians for the second.';

But, Jesus was not finished declaring Himself to be the only way to eternal life:

';So Jesus said again, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that I Myself am the Door for the sheep ... came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [2] overflows). I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep.'; [John 10:7-11]

Jesus said He was the only door, and that all other religious leaders were liars and thieves. That statement is not only dogmatic but it is the statement with which every person who stands before the final White Throne Judgment Seat will hear, straight from the Savior's lips.

Let's hear of what some people said that they he was

To Herod He was John the Baptist whom he executed who came back to life.

To John the Baptist, He was the lamb of God who would carry the sin of the world.

To Lazarus whom He raised from the dead, He was the resurrection.

To Mary and Martha, a teacher and friend.

To the religious leaders a threat, a blasphemor, sabbath breaker.

To children one who would welcome them.

To the women caught in adultery, a forgiver.

To Pilate a prisoner

To the lepers, paralysed and those with infirmities, a healer.

To Anna and Simeon, the promised Messiah.

To Simon Peter, He would be the source of the words of eternal life.

To those who reject Him, their last hope of redemption.

And to all who receive Him, their Savior.

Jesus's question to you today would be the same ';Who do you say that I am ?';

The Old Testament contains had many events that indicated that foretold when Jesus was coming, where He would be born, how He would heal people and raise people from the dead. All these events are called prophesy. Two thirds of the Bible contains prophesy, half of the prophesies have been fulfilled and the other half is yet to be fulfilled in the future. The Old Testament is also a historical record of the events that took place.

The New Testament contains the life of Jesus Christ, the miracles He performed, His death on the cross for the sins of the world, the good news that anyone could turn from their sins and ask God to forgive them and He would. He came to break the power of sin that has people in bondage to. He has also enlisted the events that will happen in the end times before He comes back to judge the world and receive those who turned from their sins and received His forgiveness.

The Bible has been preserved over time, despite the enormous attempts to destroy it.
No independent Kingdom of Israel. No world peace. Absolutely nothing changed during his lifetime.

He was one of many mystical jewish teachers of his time. His following became popular, though, and the offshoot religion became big.
Interesting - you ask Jews and the Jewish answers are given thumbs down, yet those that answer with NT and from from a Christian POV just MUST be correct, right? (OK, end of sarcasm).

Jesus did NOT fulfill the prophecies (Grace, I don't want to disappoint, so here is the list: with thanks to Mark S. for the bullet points):

· * The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26)

* Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance. (Isaiah 2:4)

* The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)

* He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8-10)

* The Moshiach will be a man of this world, an observant Jew with ';fear of God'; (Isaiah 11:2)

*****In other words - this must all be accomplished in a human lifetime*****

* Evil and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership (Isaiah 11:4)

* Knowledge of God will fill the world (Isaiah 11:9)

* He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations (Isaiah 11:10)

* All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12)

* Death will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8)

* There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8)

* All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19)

* The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness (Isaiah 51:11)

* He will be a messenger of peace (Isaiah 52:7)

* Nations will end up recognizing the wrongs they did to Israel (Isaiah 52:13-53:5)

* The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23)

* The ruined cities of Israel will be restored (Ezekiel 16:55)

* Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9)

* The Temple will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40) resuming many of the suspended mitzvot

* He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)

* Jews will know the Torah without Study (Jeremiah 31:33)

* He will give you all the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4)

* He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:13-15, Ezekiel 36:29-30, Isaiah 11:6-9).

It's OUR Tanakh and therefore Jews should know their own book. Jesus is the Moshiach for Christians and those that wish to follow this nice Jewish young man; he's NOT OUR Moshiach. Yet, we are vilified for this. Interesting, yes?
Jesus himself was a devout jew my dear.
Jesus of Nazareth wasn't even a man. Jesus as he is commonly known him is a compilation of other myths in the past. Horus, the Ancient Egyptian god, the story of whom was made up 3000 years before Jesus, shares the exact same story. Horus was born of a virgin birth witnessed by three wise men, and his birth formed a sun trinity (Isis, Horus, and Osiris). Horus was baptised in the Nile at 30 years old, and the man who baptised him was beheaded. Horus performed miracles such as walking on water, turning water into wine, making a small amount of bread into a large amount, healing the sick, casting out demons, he resurrected a man, was persecuted, crucified, buried in a rock tomb, and rose from the dead three days later. Sound familiar? Mithra of the Mithraism religion which was formed around the same time of Jesus' supposed existence and he shared the same exact story. There is no valid historical evidence of Jesus even being a real person. That entire era was incredibly well documented, and for everything that happened in his supposed life, you'd think that someone would write something about him. Alas, nothing was. The only historical documents that were supposedly written about him either weren't about him or are otherwise completely unreliable. So you see, he was a false Messiah because he was a false person.
Go to the library or the bookstore %26amp; you will find many books on the subject or search the several hundred prior answers to this question on Y/A. A messiah has to lead a nation as a king %26amp; has to accomplish political-priestly tasks. If no more than a handful of people even heard about him in his lifetime before he died, then their hope for him died with him. There is not even anything in the history books of the Romans or anyone else that he even existed. So the books written 100 plus years later, are fictional books with a lot of inaccuracies and internal contradictions.
The Messiah was not ';Son'; of God but simply a man who was to lead the Jewish people out of captivity and into freedom among other things. Jesus did none of this.

Prophecy as the Christians love to cling to has not happened. The Temple has not been rebuilt in Jerusalem. This is a key prophecy.

And giving me thumbs down just shows the ignorance of the followers of Jesus.
The Jews knew Jesus is the promised Messiah!

When Jesus came the Jews went to him and asked, ';Are you the promised messiah to lead us and save us';?

He replied, ';No, I came here to save the man kind';.

The Jews then said, ';You are a falsie messiah - go away';.

P.S. Please do not construed my true statement as fricking “anti-Semitic”.
Scripture i think spoke of a military leader - someone who would lead the jewish people back to a time of power and success rule like in the time of solomon

Jesus was never a political figure
He was not of the House of David. He was scornful of basic Jewish laws. He gave the impression that he was the son of God, which is nonsense and idolatrous.
No Jews will answer. Although they are a powerful voice in America, they only compromise of about 2% of the US population. I think there are more Muslims here now. Certainly more atheists.
Jesus was a true messenger but not according jews desire, so, jews didn't accept him
same that made micky mouse a false messiah - there is no such thing. wake up.
