How can we be sure that Jesus christ is the Messiah and not a false one?

Is Jesus christ contradict the old testament.I am a catholic christian and I believed there is GOD. I want to save my soul.How can we be sure that Jesus christ is the Messiah and not a false one?
Read both the Old Testament (Tanakh) and New Testament (Brit Hadashah). Compare the prophecy in the OT that describes the who, where, when, etcetera of the Messiah's presence on Earth with the information about Jesus (Yeshua) in the NT.

Stop questioning and just accept him. Have faith.
Jesus fulfilled many prophecies about him in the Old Testament.





Jesus' love, healing people of many afflictions, and power over wind and waves testifies to enormous spiritual power.





More than that, it was never about him, it was a selfless giving of himself to unify and love people.





He predicted on several occasions that he would die for sins, and be resurrected. His death was clearly documented.





It is this fulfilled resurrection that makes us secure in our faith.





Most importantly, Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. Accept this and you will save your soul.
From the Old Testament alone, more than 2000 specific prophesies have been fulfilled.


No other so called Holy book compares.Most of the 333 prophesies concerning the Messiah were fulfilled by the birth and life of Jesus Christ and the rest will be fulfilled at His second coming. A mathematician, Peter Stoner, had his graduate students calculate what the odds would be of any one person fulfilling just eight of these prophesies. He found the chance was one in 100,000,000,000,000,000 !Only a God who knows the future could have revealed these prophesies to those that He would have record them in His Word.





In spite of what is being taught today, the truth is we can reconstruct most of the life of Jesus Christ through non - Christian writers of the first century. Even Celsus who despised Christianity, never considered claiming that Jesus Christ did not exist.This is what can be learned from the writing of Celsus...





He was born of a virgin in a small village of Judea;


He was adored by wise men;


His birth was followed by the slaughter of infants by order of Herod;


He took flight to Egypt, where Celsus supposed Christ learned the charms of the Magicians;


After returning, He resided in Nazareth;He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on Him as a voice was heard from heaven;


He elected disciples;


He was a friend with publicans and other low people;


He cured the lame and blind;


He raised people from the dead;


He was betrayed by Judas;


He was denied by Peter;


In addition Celsus refers to several details of Christ's passion, crucifiction, and resurrection.





Twenty seven books of the New Testament, nineteen Pagan writers, and three Jewish writers testify to Jesus Christ's historical reality. Mary is of the lineage of Nathan the son of king David, she is the mother of Jesus [ who at age 30 faces Satan Matt.4:1-11; He is crucified, resurrected Acts 2:27-35; ascended to be at God's right hand until Satan and 1/3 angels are cast down, those to be with Jesus are raised up, onto caught up in the time when Satan has a short time in the end time ].


The present year is 2007 AD or CE and this is in harmony with the time frame that the bible is giving. It gives all but the day and the hour Matt.24:3,14,36-38;

You can't save your soul, but Jesus can. Jesus Christ is actually prophesized in the OT, so there is no contradiction. Exodus 3:14 proclaims that God say ';I am who I am';. Jesus said many times, ';I am';, in reference back to this verse; calling himself God.





So, because Jesus is God, what he did on the cross has true meaning. He died for you, so that you would not have to pay the price of sin. All you have to do to receive that gift of salvation is put your faith in Jesus by repenting of your sins (ask for forgiveness and turn away). We don't need to be Jewish and continue to wait for a Messiah-He has already come. Don't ignore what Jesus has done for you. Humble your heart and get before God and ask for forgiveness. You know it in your heart to be true. You can do it!

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.





Here are 4 simple scriptures called the Romans Road to salvation:


Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;


Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.


Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.


Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.





The ONLY thing you MUST do to attain salvation is confess your sinful condition to God, repent of your sin, and ask God to send Jesus to live in your heart. If you are honest and sincere in these things, Jesus will enter your heart and fill you with his love.


An 8 year old child can do this, but sometimes we adults have difficulty. Next, of course is that if you love someone, you generally want to please them. We please God by showing his love to others.


You need to connect IMMEDIATELY to a Bible believing Christian church so that your faith can be increased by hearing the word of God.


This MAY be your Catholic church, it may not. If your priest ADDS to the word of God by loading you down with 2000 years of church dogma in addition to the Bible, then they are ADDING to the Bible.

Try making Him your personal Lord and Savior. I guarantee this to you that if you do so, you will have personal experience of His Messiahship. How to do so: get into the privacy of your room. Pray sincerely and solumnly. Tell Him you are a sinner, but you need Him as your personal Lord and Savior. Confess any sin you may have committed. If you do this with devotion, Jesus will be with you. He wil save you. He will bless you beyond your imagination. He will teach you everything you need to do. You will experience joy more than ever in your life. Brother, I urge you to try this. Jesus is alive. He saves. He supplies all needs. Test and see that the Lord is good.
Try asking Him to be your Lord and Savior, Ask Him to forgive all your sins of the past, And see the difference.
If the catholics haven't shown you that truth. Take HEED for your soul.
Simple! try to search for the truth...trust and faith can lead to the same. It is easy to feel you are correct in your obsertvation but the ultimate truth is something that has to be felt deep within your soul.......Trust me you will get the answer.

The god of the o.t. is satan, not GOD. You are correct, Jesus and The Holy Spirit do contradict the o.t. but they never contradict each other, unconditional love, or GOD.
